Open Door Christian School is committed to helping families bring up
their children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.

This goal includes  the whole student: physically, emotionally,
 intellectually, and spiritually.

Study Trips
Study Trips enhance classroom learning and provide students the opportunity to explore God's creativity and design through environmental, cultural, literary, and scientific experiences.

Annual Special Events
Open Door students participate in a variety of special events which help them learn to be involved in their community and to show appreciation and respect for those who lead and care for them.

Community Service
Elementary students adopt a needy family or select a community organization to which they donate food, clothing, toys, or money during the year.  Middle School students participate in a community service day where they meet the needs of a selected organization through various activities like yard work, serving meals, washing vans, sorting clothes donations, or helping with Vacation Bible School.

Grandparent's Day
Students' Grandparents are honored when they visit classes on Grandparents' Day, see a special performance by the students and fellowship with their grandchildren during a refreshment time.

Music and Drama Productions
The Elementary Christmas program is a musical drama production that is designed to reach unsaved family and friends with the truth of Christmas.  All students participate.

Middle School students may select drama as an exploratory class.  Drama students perform various one act plays throughout the year for elementary and middle school chapel services and special school events.
