Enrollment Information
Admissions are open to any student who has accepted Jesus Christ as his or her personal Savior or who is seeking to become a Christian.  At least one parent or legal guardian must profess Christ as Savior and be an active member of an Evangelical church.  Parents of enrolling students must provide a statement of faith and two letters of character reference from the child's youth pastor or family pastor, and previous teacher or principal.

Placement Testing
All new students, 1st grade through 8th, who apply to Open Door Christian School, are assessed in reading comprehension and math computation prior to admission.   A $35.00 (non-refundable) testing fee is due at the time of the testing.

Family Interview
An interview with the applicant and family is scheduled after the placement test is completed and graded. Test results are discussed at that time.  School policy is presented, and parents are given the opportunity to have their questions addressed.  The applicant is asked to share his or her personal statement of faith.  The Family Interview is specifically designed to ascertain whether incoming families are in concert with the program offered through Open Door Christian School.  Students entering Kindergarten must have had their 5th birthdays by September 1 of enrollment year.  A current immunization record must be provided at the time of Kindergarten registration.  Previous school records are requisitioned after registration is completed for all other grades.  A non-refundable registration fee is due at time of registration.

Chapel Requirements
Chapel Service is held once a week and attendance is mandatory.  Contemporary worship followed by a Scripture-based message relevant to the school’s annual theme is presented by an Administrator, member of the school’s support church pastoral team, or a guest pastor from one of the many evangelical churches represented in the student body.

Dress Code
All students are required to wear an approved uniform style of dress.  Both boys and girls may wear khaki style slacks or shorts and polo style shirts.  Girls may also choose to wear approved skirts, jumpers, or skorts.
