Tuition and Fees for 2008-09

REGISTRATION FEE
$120 per student is due at time of registration through May 31, 2008.  June 1 through June 30, 2008 registration is $125.00 per student.  Starting July 1, 2008 registration is $130.00 per student. Registration is a nonrefundable fee.  Parents of enrolling students must provide a statement of faith and letter of character reference from the child's youth pastor, family's pastor, and previous teacher, or principal. 

BOOKS AND MATERIALS FEE
Books and Materials fees are due in full on August 1 and are nonrefundable.  $180 per elementary student (K-5); $250 per middle school student (6-8).  For convenience, parents may choose to split the fee into two payments of $95.00 (K-5) or $130.00 (6-8) per student with the August 1st and January 1st payments.

TUITION
Made in ten (10) equal payments, beginning with the August 1st payment and ending with the May 1st payment. All payments are due at the first of each month.  Students attending one or more days of any month will owe that month's full tuition.  No financial adjustments are made for student absences or family vacations.

AFTER CARE OPTION: 
$50.00 per week ($11 per day)
Late charges (for children picked up after 5:30 pm) - $5 per 15 minutes for each child.

TESTING FEE: 
$35.00 (non-refundable) - All new students, 1st grade through 8th, applying to Open Door Christian School must take a placement test.  This fee is paid at the time of testing.  An interview with the family is then scheduled. Test results are discussed, and both the student and parents are questioned in and effort to determine if all parties agree with the school's philosophy of education, discipline, and code of conduct.

ACTIVITY FEE: 
This one-time, non-refundable fee covers class activities like field trips, Christmas projects, Awards Night, Graduation, etc. and varies with each grade level. The activity fee is paid per student and is due by October 15. K-4th ($72.00) 5th-6th ($80.00) 7th ($95.00) 8th ($115.00)
